Got EAD renewal card production order email today for me and my wife.
Applied on July 7th, 2008 (TSC)
Approved August 26th, 2008
Don't know if its for two years or one year.
I am current with 2004 EB-2 I priority date.

Yes, case was originally filed at NSC on July 2nd and on august 24th it got transferred to TSC.
Does the transfer matter here, because dingudi's case is not a transfer case and he's still waiting...
not sure how far its true but came across some posts on http://www.immigration.com
stating that transfer cases from NSC-TSC are facing some delays in FP (even after SR) compared to NSC-CSC-NSC cases. heard couple of success stories with SR from NSC-CSC-NSC cases.
I'm also in the same boat, haven't opened SR yet.

This is a law violation and I have URL for it. In fact, the law also says that there is a 10% quota for each month.
As I have posted earlier there are other issues. Thus, this is another issue and not the whole issue.
Pursuing this issue and violations of name checking does not get us much. They can cancel some GCs issued but still not accept July AOSs.
We need to concentrate on issues that support accepting July AOSs.

As mentioned in my earlier post, address on my husband's I-485 was changed by USCIS system wrongly to attorney's address. We were wondering whether the documents went to old address or attorney and thank god our attorney has received it today and we will get it tomorrow. As for me and my son, still waiting...

Also we need to emphasize & communicate is the "increased fees" (almost doubled in many cases) for all USCIS services effective end of this month (July 30).
The rallys and campaigns should emphasize this important detail too. This is huge money and not fair to the amount of service that is being currently provided.

For some postal destinations the USPS offers guaranteed 2 day service. I recently mailed a package where this service was offered. The postal worker explained that if the package was mailed on a Friday, it would be delivered on Sunday. San Francisco, CA is one of the destinations where this service is offered and the package in question was, indeed, delivered on a Sunday.
You should check whether the postal service offers the 2-day service to the USCIS office.

Yes, but the immigration hearings already happened. People already have a clear indication on what the public wants. Lou Dobbs is still out there reminding them. Honestly, I wish us good luck, but I am not sure.

If the Dems do win the house, the speaker will be a Dem. and she will set the agenda to be discussed and voted upon. Also the ranking members on the various comittees will also be Dems. Therefore they will make the decisions such as, when and how to discuss these measures in committee, when and with whom to hold congressional hearings(expert testimony), when to go to conference and which representatives to to go to conference, and so on, these things influence the legislative process as much as votes do.
The bottomline is House Republicans had a fair shot at this and decided against any changes, I can't see how them returning is going to solve a thing. Immigration is one of the few issues that the Upper House and the Pres. can agree with a democratic congress on. Issues such as Soc. Security, healthcare etc will certainly end up in gridlock as the republican strategist Ed Rollins points out.

I AM going to face them, confront them, demand them to provide justice, if not I want them to REFUND every penny i have paid so far. If this "I AM" becomes "WE", half the battle won. I'm not saying that "H-1B job is permanent:" you're inferring again! I hold that *no* job in this country is "permanent" (legally speaking). My question to you was if no H1B is "permanent" (as you opine), then how can you prove that the AC20 job on H1B is or isn't "permanent?" So if that job is not "permanent," how do you convince/mention that in as RVE-EVL?
As per info on that page, it says clearly
"The H-1B program allows an employer to temporarily employ a foreign worker in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant basis in a specialty occupation or as a fashion model of distinguished merit and ability"
How can you say that any H-1B job is permanent? Now, you don't want to believe even the dol web page.

I think your assumption is correct. Even i sent G28 recently with AC21, i got SoftLUD on all my cases including the previous approved ones.

Sreeanne is correct. We had one friend who died in 9-11 and his wife and kid got visa to stay back for few years until she finished her paperwork. Plan for 2-3 options for your family, and just dont depend on continuing GC.

These kind of agreements doesnt stand in any court .You can always say that you are forced to sign for your livelihood period.Esp. if he is a desi employer he even doesnt dare to go to court as that will cause more damage.
Do you know the cost of defending suit? You have to prove the statements too.
Search for law cases in PA/NJ and you will SHOCKED to see many desi employers who have sued their employees.

However if someone takes the company to court based on "Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986" vs hiring an H1B, how can the company legally defend itself against this law ?
