Dude, are you serious? You will, only possibly, be laid off in April next year. Means you have got 4 months to find yourself a new job. You already are in I-485 stage, so you don't need any immediate visa to maintain status. And you are telling me you are distressed?

I called the CBP office at the nearest international airport and the officer said "As long as they leave the country with in 6 months they are good. I don't have to come to the airport to get it corrected". He did not ask me the I-94 numbers or any thing. He just confirmed they are here on class B2.
So what does the gurus suggest?
When it comes to immigration matters, my mantra is safe than sorry. I would still make the trip to the CBP office and get a date noted on the I-94. This way if you want to extend their stay, etc you will be covered.

Hi,
My current EAD will expire in September 2008. It is applied through Company A. I want to change my employer in July to Company B. But I would think during
that time frame I would have already applied for my EAD renewal.
Can I transfer to Company B during this renewal process?

I do not beleive that EAD is company specific, it is yours like a green card, they will not ask anything whilre renewing green card.

Lawyer screwed up and didnt file in February 07 with the I 140. Below is what I got back from TSC re: cross charge- I had to jump through the hoops for them to consider it. There are some good and informative posts on .
"Today I received an email from my lawyers office who had requested a congressional inquiry with TSC. Good news is that my congresswoman's office is really efficient - they followed up till they got the confirmation. Now atleast I know they will consider it as CC.
Below is what TSC wrote back. Now the wait for visa bulletins and processing dates resumes!
"The message was sent to management. Yes they can be charge cross chargeability. However, at this time the files can not be request due to the large volume of work the unit has. Cases are process accordingly and chronological.
Will sent another message to management, but this request in expediting these cases does not meet the service criteria.
Thank you for your inquiry and please do not hesitate to contact us again if you have further questions regarding this case.

My wife's current H4 is valid till Nov. She got her H1 also approved from Oct'2007. She checked the status this morning only on USCIS.
I'm applying for I-485 and adding her as spouse. Should I file for her advance parole and put her status as H4 in it? What happens to to her H1 approval, if advanced parole gets approved also. Will she loose her H1 status?

Put her status as H4. She is in H4 until October 2007 (assuming you asked for change of status and change of status was also approved.) No, she will not loose her H1, as H1 is a "dual intent" visa.

EIther this guy is ALIPAC or he is from ALIPAC. THose guys tried to supress us in a straight forward way, but it did not work. Then they sent some infiltrants to our site to coy us to beleive they work for immigrants. That also did not work. Now they are trying to backstab us with our own hands. I got greened today, surprisingly. Could anyone let me know what are the good numbers to reach a human in USCIS, hopefully with less wait time. I wanted to check with them what address they have on file. I filed an address change in JUne but I am not sure if they have it right in their systems. Also, is there a way to get this information without calling them.

EB backlog as of Oct31 = 655K�(average lead time for FB approval)x50K/month+50KEB in Oct
Do the simple math, we can get the following table:

Have written to my Immigration Coordinator who will confirm with the company lawyer if this rule applies to 'pending' I-140 approvals or will 'filed' and 'approved' I-140 (prior to May-15-07) be safe.
