Good luck..I filed everything on the 14th of Aug; for 485 I think the fees was 395; for EAD 180 and AP 170. all together 1490 for 2...1165 seems a little weird because first of all 1165 is not divisible by 2 :)); I guess based on old fee structure, 485 is 325 plus 70 biometric fee

Filed two EAD renewals to TSC: one on 07/06/08, another on 07/14/08.
Both included only the documents required by the filing instruction, nothing besides.
The first one was accepted, ND 8 Jul, the second returned with a request for a copy of I-485.
Added and re-sent again- no receipt yet.

Section 205. Retaining Workers Subject to Green Card Backlog.
* Allows foreign workers who have started the green card process, but who are subject to green card backlogs, to pay a $500.00 supplemental fee to file an application to adjust status. This change would enable foreign workers to remain in the U.S. until the green card becomes available.
If above is the case, then AC21 could be used by anyone who files for AOS.

My checks got cleared at TSC today.
Previously
My 140 was approved at TSC, sent 485 to Nebraska on June 22, they received on June 25. I called to check status yesterday, the lady said to wait. On asking if case will be transferred to TSC and if TSC will generate receipts, she said she doesn't know, but it may take at least 2-3 weeks to process receipts at Nebraska.

Please send details with scaned delivery proof to Email: "PublicAffairs, CISOmbudsman" <CISOmbudsman.Publicaffairs@dhs.gov>. This will help him to go to bottom of issue. Step has to taken to avoid this in future. my 2 cents..

Sorry to hear this news , one of my friend has the same situvation. he went back to indian (chenni Appolo) 2 years back.
Here doctors told him all BS and he spent abt 50k out of his pocket on top the insurance (he work for IBM as Full time). he was told that 2 more months so he went back to india and his parents did giveup and they went to take a secound openion he is perfectly allright now he said he will never come back to usa (some unique bactiria causes some kind of cancer i have no clue about what he told me that time and i dont remember exactly contact him raviselvam@yahoo.com or raviselvam@yahoo.co.in if you cant get hold of him contact me bhimireddy@gmail.com i will try to reach him i should have his contact info. hopd you will recover soon

Please do so so they receive a variety of letters. I've done it. I e-mailed them and faxed them with my personal letter and with a letter based on Iv template. This is our time so please guys don't give up and fax your personal letter.

Wait till next week-end. My 140 mailed to NSC on 11th April (why?? not sure) and received RN from texas. ND was dated 19th April. RD was 13th April.
Now # of applications are more so it can take more time but your RD will be maintained.

I will donate 100 dollars if they make any changes in DREAM Act wrt to Employment based immigration.
Even I participated in the campaign, but I don't think it will impact anything for us.
If you mean IV and are waiting for results to support, consider that we have hired a Lobby in DC and are spending a lot of money in campaigns.

No business works like that. we don't have a charge card to dispute transactions.

Last week someone with last name Powell (looked very proud to me) from state deptt was on situation room with Wolf Blitzer. Her office was in charge of increasing the enrollment of internartional students in your contry. She had reduced the time for processing F1 visa to a week. She even went to middle east. Get her deptt closed proudly. This will improve your educational system also.
If you can not stop her, ask her to tell all students that F1 will not be converted to H1B or H1B will not be converted to green card.
This will stop the problem at the root and you can enjoy your wealth proudly.
Why don't posters on this forum move back to their home country and concentrate on making their home country great instead of slamming into someone else's country and just living off the wealth others have created?
The bottom line is that a SKIL act is not needed. Hundreds of thousands of American programmers have lost their job to the third world, both in outsourcing and insourcing of third world programmers who work for cheaper wages. There is absolutely no need for more foreigners here and no need for more green cards. Temporary workers are just that - temporary. If you are on a temporary visa, work your time, make some money for your family and head home when your time is up. Don't cry that we don't provide enough green cards when you knew what kind of visa you were on.

All 140K GCs are available on Oct 1. However, dates were not current in 2005 and 2006. I think that current dates do not depend on available GCs.
Looks like current dates depend on # submitted AOS's. USCIS is saying that on Jul 2 it has submitted AOS's that exhaust submitted AOS quota.
the availability of dates are determined by DOS after consulting with labor department and USCIS. if the they determine that enough labor applications are pending to fill the entire quota for the year they issue the cut off dates accordingly.
India is allocated only 10,000 visas in all categories(EB1+EB2+EB3). dates will never be current, given around 700K applicants were ready to file. out of the 700K I imagine atleast 35% will be from india, which translate to around 250K applicants from india who are ready to file I-485, india is given 10K , u can do the math and find out for yourself how much time it will take for the dates to be current.
