Madam Rice is trying to divert the issue by telling skilled professional from all over the world wants to come here....This is not the issue.....
Issue is there are thousands of high skilled professional with approved labor and I-140 , waiting for years to file I-485.... DOS told then on 13th June that you all can file I-485 and all of the sudden on 2nd July 07 DOS said we can't accept your application...
So madam secretary it's not issue of how many high skilled professional wants to come here. Infact DOS/USCIS/Govt. of US need to think how life is tough for those high skilled professional who already came here and waiting for years to get green card through legal system....

All officials have talked about processing 60k visas in a month to avoid visas going waste.
None was honest enough to say the unused visas expire on 09/30 NOT 06/30.
So, why the mad rush to give out all visas by 06/30?? We all know why..

If you have h4 stamp in your passport , you can go out of the country and comeback in and you would be back in h4 status. Short of that I don't see any other option. Ohers please chip in with your ideas.
Once your new status is approved you cannot go back to any prior status. Even if you have an unexpired H4 visa stamp in your passport, it becomes invalid. You would have to get the passport stamped again at the US Consulate.

My attorney sent me an email yesterday that my application along with some others applications were filed and they will reach USCIS on July 2nd. They did not send me the tracking number as they are busy working on other cases. I am glad that they filed it and I am happy that thier priorities are right(apply as many as they can ASAP). So, I think my application will reach there sometime today.

Sanju my friend, why sarcasm ? This is such wonderful information, why can't this be made more public, posted in a prominent position on IV ? Why should members do research to get this info when it can be relatively easily acquired by Quinn Gillespie & Assoc and given to core ? Come on man, a little bit of information like this goes a long way with members.
qasleuth, I don't believe that suri is for real. I think this guy is phony and will not spend a dime on anything other than his selfish self. I don't know why core or admins here do not give out this information, you could ask them, but I do know that folks here should grow up and be mature not scared to do their own research, because the best thing we can do for ourselves is, research and gain knowledge. I did a simple google search and within 5 minutes I found this information. So if someone wants to find information, there is no scarcity of relevant information online. The problem is, some folks don't want to move their fingers to do simple google search, but they have all the time in the world to find reasons to sit on their a$$ and not do anything. And that's just too much bull....
Tell this suri guy to go tell his friends that the EADs they flash every time allay their anxiety is because I and others like me paid for it. So I have earned and paid for the right to sarcasm with these elite educated illiterate idiots, if you know what I mean.

I was researching some stuff & since you are from Fiji & with the political unrest in your home country, can you take political asylum since you were kinda forced to leave the country. What do you think we should be doing at this site? What is the objective of this site? Is everyone being part of that objective? What would be a constructive post to be a part of objective? What effort people have put toward the objective?

We would all like to part of a rally or protest but why give us only one days notice? Surely most people will not have read this post by tomorrow. We should organize this properly by sending out the message to the community well in advance and getting the required permits (I mean if you want this to be in any way successful that is).

You will see a date on I-485 only if you filed I-140 & I-485 concurrently. Even my I-485 does not have any priority date.
