My I-485 was received by NSC, on Jun 25th. Called USCIS today, they said information is not in system. Lawyer is also not repsonding, if checks are cleared. My previously approved I-140 from TSC has a LUD of 08/05/07.

folks who got their GC recently - i was wondering what the post "card production ordered" timeline looks like. How long did it take to get the GC in hand once the CPO email/LUD was received, and what other updates did you receive along the way?

Not sure if its a BREAK or no Visa numbers...
There were a couple of approvals today from TSC by looking at the other site.But slowed down a lot. Maybe USCIS is taking a break this last week and preparing for the next month:)

Have a question. My current I-94 is valid till May 2009(entered on AP last time). What happens after May2009? Do I need to get another I-94 and how?

It is customary to put one year expiration for I-94 for AP entry. It does not mean much.

You are still thinking about all the job crap and call. Are you some kind of a retard? Holy shit. What more meets the eye man? He might not be around after sometime. Instead of this bullshit, his priority must be to get better and spend time with family and friends. We dont know how things will be after 6 months. What I find retarded is that this crap green card seems to be taking higher position than him getting better.
To the original poster: Please realize that there is nothing more beautiful than life. Every minute of it is of the essence. Family and loved ones are more important than anything in life. You will not take money, green card or anything after you die. Your wife will be more happy realizing that she spent some fantastic time with you. I wish and pray that you get better. Just junk this immigration shit, go back home, take a second opinion and get better. There is life beyond America and remember that "Jaan hai to jahan hai" (If there is life then you have the world with you). Translation may not be perfect

Has anyone with approval from 08/01 received welcome letter or card? My husband's I485 was approved on 08/04 but no letter or card yet. Also, mine and my son's cases are still pending, opened SR and will take infopass next week.

I am sorry to tell you that if you are not a voter and you do not clarify that at the time you call or fax congressmen, your request is practically useless. Don't believe if others tell you otherwise.
I made phone calls to all (10 + 2) successfully left messages for 8 but the following 4 had issues,
Sen. Cornyn's and Sen. McConnell's office phone systems do not direct you to a voicemail system (I was calling after office hours so I couldnt speak to someone either), and,
I get a 'voicemail machine full' message from the Reid and Martinez offices.
Wonder if anyone else has faced the same problem.
Will try those 4 again tomorrow

We have received our cards without getting CPO email. I got email for welcome notice sent on 08/05 and then approval notice sent on 08/08..got cards on 08/11..hope this helps...

The analysis on the FB movement by simple1, et al is based on the current VB. This will result in severe retrogression in the FB categories. Are you willing to assume the burden that comes with classification in the FB category - separation of family while waiting for PD to be current? Think of what it will do to someone who comes to US on GC through the FB category and later gets married to an Indian citizen. The current wait time for that individual is 5+ years and the individual cannot stay with spouse for a long stretch otherwise he/she loses the GC or does not meet minimum residency requirement for citizenship.

It is true that country quota is a discrimination. But when you just try to remove the country quota other country persons are going to oppose as they will be impacted if country quota is removed. But if you try with other agenda like recapture then opposition may not be strong and also every one will get benefit.

My I-140 is pending in TSC. I have applied I-485 for self and wife on July 18. Received by K.Lawson in NSC on July 19th 9.29 AM.

Guys even H1B increases are not that bad. A lot of our spouses could get jobs on h1b if it was open just now. Ultimately isint that what we want? Both husband and wife working?
I know that it could have a possible effect on the EB but I think a LOT of our spouses could work if the H1B quota was available. I know atleast 2-3 such friends whose wives can easily get jobs if the H1B was open.
Provided you bypass those apps that consulting companies line up at the start of the year. This is what Microsoft/Intel etc are trying to counter. They are not getting enough of the H1Bs themselves.

For all those waiting for approval, its does help to find out if a visa number has been requested for your application. My understanding is that all the applications which are ready for adjudication are moved to a separate area and visa number is requested for those.Infact if you can find out (I think the guys at Infopass only have access to that information. Not sure if the level 2 service does) it helps. If a visa number has been assigned or requested for your application it will get approved.
I am not sure if assigned to an officer or with an officer status has any material value when it comes to approval unless a visa number has been requested.

I actually spoke to Customer service and I got 2 very different responses.
1. Wait till you are an old man and then the cards may just come !! (Just Kidding ) she actually said wait for 90 days.
2. Another CSR told me that the TSC is having technical issues and they are not able to access the Biometric information on approved 485's in their systems. She advised me to download Form I-90 from the USCIS site and fill that in and send it in - if you have a minor on the petition then also send 2 passport size pictures of the minor - this will allow them to access the Biometric screen when they process the I-90. We will get Biometric notices and the Minor will get the card - the Grown ups will get the Cards after the Biometrics are uploaded.
I have not done this - eventhough I downloaded the I-90 forms - I took a INFOPASS appt and if they suggest that I should do a I-90 then I can get that done right on the spot - I am carrying the filled I-90 with me. Anyhow I-90 is usually submitted to correct errors on the card or to replace a card - however this woman sounded quite knowledgeable - but then there are issues realted to where the I-90 should be sent - this is specially complicated if your case has been transferred a few times like mine was.
Best is to check with the guys/gals at Infopass -meeting.
All this was from the rep at the TSC - so not sure if this is applicable to all centers.
AGAIN THIS IS WHAT I HEARD FROM THE TSC REP - PLEASE USE THIS INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK - I AM NOT SENDING THE I-90 ON MY OWN.
I will post my Infoapss exp on the 9th of september.

What she told is 'My case is approved and they are missing the Biometrics and I will be getting the mail to appear for the Biometrics'
...and She is not even giving me the chance to explain the scenario of uploading the Biometrics to TSC etc... (I have seen in the forums that for the numbers starting with WAC...Biometrics were uploaded to CSC and the TSC is unable to upload the Biometrics back to their system. And she told him that she will put a request to upload the Biometrics to TSC ASAP which may take 3 to 4 days)
When I tried to tell this, the answer I got is "I don't want to hear anything from you and you will be getting the Biometrics mail as we are missing"
