Biometrics is not needed for EAD. I received mine with "NO fingerprint available" marked on the card. Please call them back or get another infopass and this time, you might be lucky to talk to somone who knows what they are saying. Or just may be, they changed the rule on the fly a few days ago regarding biometrics and EAD.
Hi, I didn't receive my EAD after the 90 days and my lawyer caller the customer service center and they told her that it hasn't been issued because I haven't gotten FPed for it even though I have gotten my FP done for the 485. My another question is can I get an appointment in an office that doesn't service the region? I live in Southern CT and New Rochelle, NY is the service center that I got my biometrics done and since I didn't get a date putting my own zip code in - I put New Rochelle's zip in it and it gave me openings in New York City. So, can I go see an officer in New York City even though that is not my local office?

What is my wedding date
Hav I travelled out of USA from last entry
Did I ever get any money in form of help from Immigration
Checked my pay chq (current) and w-2 for 2007.
Asked for Employment verification letter
Asked to show I 94 card
Asked all the questions which I guess are on the 485 form, the questions are generally not relevant to people like us: Examples are below

Thanks for the honest and to-the-point answer Yagw. Yes, I am aware of the risks involved and therefore never EVER exceed the threshold I set for myself. I am not new to stock market having been in it for the past four years -- not that that makes me ANY safer than a newbie though.

Thank you ingegarcia, Just to clarify "postmarked before April 15th" means, even if the application is not yet accepted, but received by the AINP before April 15th. Could you please confirm if my understanding is correct.

You started working for Company B before or after the H1 transfer receipt notice ?
is LCA for H1 filed after you joined company B - is it legal ?
Its likely possible you may have signed some contract with them in the offer letter, you can keep the communication only thru emails. And ask them for a copy for the basis for their standing.

Total : 105960
India : 26636 = 25.2%
China : 8222 = 7.75%

I thought AP must ONLY be used for emergency travel purposes, not for vacations, brother's marriage etc. Some IV members shared their experiences at the POE, the IO may ask why you left US, what was the emergency? Please correct me if I am wrong. Can AP be used for casual travel also? Thanks.

If you count the taxes these 150K legal immigrants would have paid if they were in US for a year it is more than 2.5 billion dollars.
There was a recent study claiming that 14 million illegal immigrants pay 1.5 billion dollars a year in taxes (read mostly sales taxes). And thus US should legalize these 14 million people to continue to get 1.5 billion dollars a year.
Now you can compare 150K people vs 14 million people and who pays more.
The study fails to tell that these illegals do not have insurance. So they use hospitals for free. They do not pay federal taxes because they do not have a valid documentation. Even if they are allowed to pay federal tax, many will be below poverty line.
The study did not envision an economic scenario for America if 14 million illegals are legalized. How many will claim unemployment, social security, medicare etc. I can bet the cost to government will be in billions with many zeroes after that. Someone should call the reporter and the pro illegals who created that study to answer these questions.
It is possible for undocumented to pay teh federal and state taxes. They generally usea fake ssn and once the payroll is run taxes get sent to IRS.

I am in same boat, I took a Infopass today and met with a IO in NYC. She said she will do the needful as the dates are current by communicating with TSC and if nothing happens I have to come back in 45 days. I do not have hopes but lets see what happens

I have heard such cases and as per law, you are responsible to bring it to the USCIS notice about their mistake. Since you have one more month left, it is better to work with your attorney to iron out this issue. Make sure you bring this to UCSIS notice.
TO get 3 year extension your attorney needs to file the copy of approved 140along with the request for H1b extension. Make sure to ask for H4 also if you have one.
